Part-Time Courses

The Department offers Certificate | Diploma | Advanced Diploma in Slavonic and Hungarian Languages. The common rules for admission to all of these are as follows:

Duration : One year

Classes are held three days a week from 7.45 a.m. to 09.25 a.m. Minimum Eligibility for Admission in Part-Time Courses:

(i) CERTIFICATE COURSE IN CZECH (Level A1-Biginner, A2-Elementry)
Candidates who have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto with an aggregate of at least 45% marks are eligible to apply. Candidates with Graduation, Post-graduate and above are also eligible to apply.

Paper I Communicative Grammar 100 Marks
Paper II Translation & Written Comprehension Skills 100 Marks
Paper III Spoken Czech 100 Marks

(ii) DIPLOMA COURSE IN CZECH (Level B-B1 Threshold)
Minimum qualification required for admission to Diploma Courses is Certificate or an equivalent course in the corresponding language. (Candidates with a gap year or more will be required to pass an admission test and interview to be conducted by the Department.)

Paper I Communicative Grammar 100 Marks
Paper II Translation & Written Comprehension Skills 100 Marks
Paper III Spoken Czech 100 Marks

(iii) ADVANCED DIPLOMA COURSE IN CZECH (Level B2 Independent)
The minimum qualification required for admission to Advanced Diploma Courses is Diploma or an equivalent course in the corresponding language. (Candidates with a gap year or more will be required to pass an admission test and interview to be conducted by the Department.)
